Ferry MAJ. GEN. WM. H. HART berthed at the South
Street Seaport Museum. Launched on Staten Island
1925 as the JOHN A. LYNCH, and later the
HARLEM, she served at one time or another on most
of the New York Harbor crossings. She was retired
from the Governor's Island run in 1970, and today
houses a maritime trades school for the City's drug
rehabilitation program.
