The Fountain of Time is a statuary group of
heroic size standing at the entrance of the Midway
to Washington Park. It is one of the many re-
markable conceptions of the word-famous Chicago
sculptor Lorado Taft, inspired by the lines of the
poet Austin Dobson:
"Time flies, you say! Ah no!
Time stays: we go".
