The high Fundy tides are well known to this sturdy sea captain, master of the Canadian Pacific coast liner "Princess Helene" Though his course is confined to coastal waters his duties are none the less vital than those of the trans Atlantic captain. His first concern is the safety of his ship and passengers. He is responsible for discipline on ship-board and the efficiency of his crew. He must satisfy Himself that ship's equipment is in first class condition at all times. The "Princess Helene" plies between Saint John and Digby, N. S., on the Bay of Fundy.
