Wise County Court House. This building took :
several years to build and was completed in
1895. The stone was precut and each piece
numbered and shipped from Burnet County.
The stones were raised by a windlass pulled
by donkeys walking in a circle drawing the
rope tight. The building is constructed of the
same granite used in the Texas state capitol.
