Additional Details:
Surmounted by a magnificent copper dome, crested with a statue of Liberty, the State Capitol of Montana is located in Helena. Costing approximately $1,200,000.00 to complete, the Capitol Building was dedicated in 1902. The central portion is made of Montana sand stone and the adjacent wings are of native granite. Provided with a naturally beautiful site, the mountains rising magnificently in the distance, silently portray the soundness and security upon which the government of Montana is founded.
