The Round Church, Sea Point. Situated at the
junction of two roads- the one to the left following the
picturesque route to Camps Bay, and the other leading
to the Queen's Hotel and tram terminus, Sea Point-the
Church is of little interest to the visitor except for its
prominent and attractive situation. A lady being asked
by the newly-arrived visitor from home why it had been
so constructed, in want of some more definite reason replied,
"it had been built in circular form so that his Satanic
Majesty could find no corners for a resting place!"
