360 feet long and 72 feet broad. When fully loaded, displaces
more than 12,000 tons of water. Speed, about 17 knots per
hour. Horse-power, 12,105. Cost, about $3,010,000. Principal
weapons consist of four 12-inch, eight 8-inch and six 4-inch
guns, as well as a goodly number of smaller pieces of ordnance.
Complement, 35 officers and 546 men.
