WOODSIDE STORE, Woodside, California. The Woodside Store and Post Office was established in 1849, but the present building was erected for R. O. Tripp in 1854 when it was the center of red- wood lumbering operations. Within a five-mile radius, here at times, more than 1000 lumberjacks found their mail, supplies, and liquid refreshments.
