was composite of Douglas military and civilian
designs. Douglas delivered 35 C-39's to Air
Corps in 1939 including this one displayed at AF
Museum, W-PAFB, Ohio. C-39's evacuated Ameri-
can personnel from Philippines to Australia in
December 1941.
