SANDBUGGIES of the SOUTHWEST
This versatile home-made vehicle affec-
tionately called sandbuggy or dune bug is now a
prominent sign of help on the desert as well as
for recreation. The dune bug is rebuilt through-
out, is almost square, and is specially adapted
for desert and mountainous terrain in all kinds i
of weather.
Local clubs have been formed such as the
"Yuma Search and Rescue Squad" to help on
dangerous desert rescue calls.
