Jekyll Island's fascinating history has been skillfully portrayed
by the distinguished American artist, Esther Lippincott Stewart.
Each of her colorful paintings — in addition to capturing the
past and present in a distinct and lively style accurately
records the major fauna
and flora of the region.
Commissioned by
by the
Jekyll Island Authority in
1974, Mrs. Stewart's eight
murals (seven are 10' x
13'; one is 10' X 43')
decorate the Mall of the

Once America's most ex-

Island today, with its
beaches, year 'round golf
and tennis, is for the
enjoyment of all.
