Fredk. Goodall. Walker Art Gallery.
"A New Light in the Harem" was exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1884, and
was purchased the same year by the Trustees of the Walker Art Gallery. The
detail of this picture, the Careine Lattice work, the tame gazelle and the Nubian
attendant are evidence of the artist's extensive study and travels in the East.
Goodall died in 1904.
