Crater Lake is six and one half miles long
and four and a quarter miles wide. Its depth
varies up to 2000 feet. It is entirely surround-
ed by steep volcanic cliffs, upon one
of
which is situated the lodge, 1000 feet above
the water's edge. A wonderful view of the
lake and surrounding peaks and forrests
can be had from the Lodge veranda.
