Interior of recruit barracks at Camp Nimitz. Single bunks
have replaced the traditional double-decked bunks. This
modern barracks is three decks high, has three wings and
is capable of housing nine companies, varying in strength
from 65 to 80 men per company, USNTC was placed into
commission June 1923, and encompasses 508 acres
in San Diego's Point Loma district.
