Dear Folks:
After looking at several places we selected Bill
Thompson's accommodations at Marathon and believe
that it is the real "Treasure of the Florida Keys." We
have the nicest two-bedroom apartment, with a com-
plete electric kitchen, and are as comfortable as if we
were at home. Our maid comes in every morning and
does the necessary cleaning, and for a little extra will
do the dishes and some laundry for us. Tom and
Lucille have a one-bedroom, living room and kitchen
unit and declare they did not know how comfortable
it could be on the KEYS. We have met a wonderful
couple from Cleveland who are enjoying a hotel room.
It just seems that everyone is pleased and contented
here at Bill's. They all remark on how cool and
pleasant this "Florida Living" can be in a well designed
and furnished building. Our front view is the blue-
green water of Florida Bay, spotted with the white of
small fishing skiffs with outboards and the larger
craft of the charter captains. One of our favorite sights
is the coming and going of the private yachts that fill
the spacious docks of this perfectly protected harbor.
Must close now as it is time for us to join the children
in the salt water pool and I have to get Jim out of
Bill's tackle shop where they are talking fishing.
