High performance team:
Washington spar with
interlocking yarder, Trakloader
Some of the most efficient yarding and loading equipment in
the woods today is shown at work for Nelson Bros. Logging
Co., Inc., Monroe, Wash. The Washington spar and Model 158
Washington interlocking yarder have turned in "good produc-
tion from the start," according to Vince Nelson. He finds that
the 350-hp machine delivers like it had 450 hp, with practically
no loss in friction and no brake wear.
The TL-6 Trakloader is used by Nelson Bros. for both loading
out below the spar, and for right-of-way loading and short yard-
ing. It's equipped with 29' hinge boom, high A-frame and
wide-track Washington crawler undercarriage with Mono-race
slewing ring.
