Charm of Country Club Plaza at Kansas City, Mo. is enhanced by attractive buildings of Spanish architecture such as this "Balcony Building." Recently it had its courtyard dedicated as "Aleman Court" in honor of President Miguel Aleman of Mexico who visited the spot in 1947. The J.C. NIchols Company, developers of the "Plaza" import tile and ironwork direct from Mexico and Spain to beautify its many buildings set in a natural bowl-like 40 acres 5 miles south of downtown Kansas City. One of America's first outlying shopping areas designed for the motoring trade, the Plaza in its 26 years of existence has long been a studied model of good planning. Its wide streets, shop arrangements, free parking, architectural control and other features have been studied by experts from around the world. One of its newest additions is a 600 car Triple Deck parking station which brings the are's off street parking to 2,000 car spaces
