Leading products around here are apples, pears, peaches,
potatoes, hops, onions, sugar beets (a refinery 14 miles
away at Toppenish), cherries and other small fruits.
Dairying is important and a lot of sheep graze in the hills.
We have eaten at WARDELL'S, a new Restaurant and Fountain on West
Yakima Avenue—just off U. S. Highway 410.
