Christ Church, the Cathedral of Oxfordst
appears in history as a Saxon dedication to St. Frides
wide. It was rebuilt in 1004 by Ethelred the 1903
-O
and in 1160 Prior Robert of Cricklade founded the Church
as now known. The fortunes.of the building are closely
connected with Cardinal Wolsey, who founded the
College that bears the same name and to which the
Cathedral acts as College Chapel. The total length of
the building is 175 teet.
