Talbott Tavern built in 1779 is one of the most historical spots
in Kentucky. Much of the early history of Kentucky originated in
this Inn, as Andrew Jackson, Henry Clay, Wm. Henry Harrison
and many other notable personages used the tavern as a
stopping place when they were helping to shape the destiny
of this "Dark and Bloody Ground" later to become the State
of Kentucky.
