  My deceased twin Harry and I attended this school first grade about 1953. Fond Nemours of it. Use to have to take a city bus to school from the Gompers Apartnents.

  I am now 77 years old and I still have very fond memories of my grade school days. A Pidgeon pooed on my hair and I had to go to sink in basement an they washed my hair. My Mom was at worlk at the packing house an I had to stay at school!! I think I also had Ms Coker and she was awesome! I am pretty sure her room was up the stairs. We were getting new desks and she made the mistake of telling us. I bugged her everyday till they came. Ane I was disappointed. They took our private desks with lids and inkwell an the new one was just a chair with a book rack underneath.
