SONGKRAN-WATER FESTIVAL
One of the most well-known festivals
greeted boisterously in Chiang Mai is Song-
kran festival in which it is impossible to go
around without getting wet.Songkran,13th
of April, is celebrated annually with great
enthusiasm when the weather is hottest and
driest as it is above all a water festival. The
Buddha image is drenched respectfully with
Thai perfume by crowds of people from
every part of the country.
