OLDEST HOUSE IN THE U.S.A.
The Oldest House is the last remnant of the
ancient Analco Pueblo which existed about 1200
A.D. Nearby excavations reveal pottery piece
of the 1100-1200. A.D. period.
De Vargas quartered one of his officers here in
1692.
A large part of the Oldest House is contemporary
with the main part of San Miguel Mission next
door.
Spared during the bloody uprising of 1630, it
has lived on to hold charm and enchantment for
todays visitors.
