Old North Church built 1723. In the steeple of this Church on the night of April 18th, 1775, two signal lanterns were displayed by request of Paul Revere to werrn Col. Conant and the watchers on the Charles town shore, that the British troops were crossing the Charles River on their way to Lexington and Concord.
