THE GOLDEN FROGS OF EL VALLE, PANAMA
Golden frogs live in the cool shaded mountain streams
of El Valle in the interior of Panama. Their moist skin
of brilliant yellow sparkles like polished gold. It is
said that the dangerous Matalone Indians of Colombia
and Venezuela, tip their deadly blow-gun arrows with a
poison made from these frogs.
flechas.
