It was demolished in 1962 in spite of efforts to preserve it as part of Winnipeg's architectural heritage. It stood on the same site as Winnipeg's present Civic Centre Complex, Les architectes Barber, Bones et Barber ont créé une fantaisie victorienne de briques et de pierre comme point central d'une ville exubérante et optimistique en pleine croissance.
