In the Santa Cruz Big Tree Grove, Cali-
fornia, 6 miles from Santa Cruz, on the Coast
line of the Southern Pacific Railway, from
Los Angeles to San Francisco, via Santa
Cruz.
325 feet high, 55 feet in circumference and
18 feet in diameter. Dedicated in honor of
General Grant, who visited the grove in
1879.
