8501 Germantown Avenue, Philadelphia 18, Penna. One of the most interesting historical buildings in Philadelphia, dating back to before 1760. Used as a hospital during the Revolutionary War, many of the wounded at the Battle of Germantown were cared for here. It was burned by the British but was soon rebuilt and was a haven for many during the Yellow Fever Epidemic. For many years an Inn, it was a favorite stopping off point for weary travelers coming from Reading and Bethlehem. Just recently restored to its colonial splendor, it is now one of the largest and most modern Flower Shops in the East. Although there are a hundred Florist Telegraph Delivery Members in Philadelphia, during 1953 one out of every twenty out-going orders came from this shop
