The home of his father built in 1844 and the museum are visited yearly by thousands who delight in roaming through the rooms and viewing various exhibits, such as the author's typewriter, cob pipe, favorite chair, letters, pictures, etc. The Mark Twain Museum was opened to the public on Nov. 30, 1937 and is kept open year round with no admission charge
