Latourelle Bridge Looking Toward Crown Point, Colombia River Highway, Oregon

One of the 17 concrete bridges on the highway. It has three 80 foot arches, and the bottom of the bridge is one hundred feet above the water. From this bridge may be seen Latourelle Falls, one of the principal falls along the highway. It is 224 feet in height. In speaking of the Columbia River Highway, William Howard Taft says - "It is the most remarkable road in the United States and it will attract many visitors." |
