National Museum Independence Hall Group The famous old Liberty Bell, which announced the Proclamation of the adoption of the Declaration of independence on July 4, 1776, is housed in the main corridor of the Independce Hall. The lettering on its crown reads: "Proclaim Liberty Throughout All the Land Unto All the Inhabitants Thereof. Lev.
