The artist John Frederick Herring, was born in Surrey, England, in 1795 and died sin 1865. He was a painter of coaches and devoting his leisure to painting. He was called the "artist coachman," He was aided by friends to give up the reins and devote himself to painting. became very popular and received commissions from King George IV, Queen Victoria and the Duke of Orleans.
