Dublin City And River Liffey
| Series 2/494|
Dublin, capital of Ireland, was founded by Viking pirates over a thousand years ago. The lovely city stands at the foot of the Wicklow mountains facing Dublin Bay and is famous for its magnificent Georgian architecture and spacious streets. Through it flows the swathe of the River Liffey which rises in the heart of the Wicklow hills. O'Connell Street, the main thoroughfare, crosses the river by O'Connell Bridge.
