Series 2J107 The second largest and most central of the Channel islands, possessing a fine harbour, the island a visited by nearly 2,000 yachtsmen in the summer. Surrounded by the other Channel Islands it is convenient for making day trips to Alderney, Sark, Herm and Jethou. In 1966 Guernsey had the highest sunshine record. There is a choice of approximately 20 beaches for the visitor ranging from fine sandy beaches on the north and west coast to the south coast of beautiful cliff path walks and scenery. |
