JUNE LAKE
June Lake (EI. 7616 ft.) is one of several lakes to be
found along the highway that is known as the June
Lake Loop. Reversed creek is unusual in that it flowe
from June Lake towards the mountains. The mountain AR
to the left is known as Carson Peak, named after kit
Carson who traveled in this area as a pathfinder.
The area is bordered by ridges and peaks that are P 28
two to four thousand feet above the basin All the
lakes on the loop has good fishing, there are a great-A
number of trails for the hiker and camp spot's where
one can pitch his tent. ;, M.P.
