Payette Lake has a shore line of over 40 miles of Primeval forest at an altitude of 5000 feet above sea level. The average depth of this lake is said to be over 400 feet and soundings over 2000 feet in depth have been taken in some parts of the lake without reaching bottom. This popular resort is visited by thousands during the months of June, July and August. The scene shown is a picturesque spot near Bridal Veil Springs. |
