The Mariners' Museum was founded in 1930
by Archer M. Huntington. The Museum is de-
voted to the culture of the sea and its tribut-
aries, its conquest by man, and its influence
on civilization.
The Museum is educational in purpose and
world-wide in scope. Its aim is to display
the maritime accomplishments of all times
and of every nation.
