Affectionately known throughout the world as "Babby", he was born in Boston Mass., Nov. 20, 1925. Served as Attorney Generla of the U. S. from 61 to 64, when he resigned to run for U. S. Senate from N. Y. Sen. Kennedy was shot at 12:15 a.m. on June 5, 1968 by Sirhan Bishara Sirhan, and died some 25 hours later at 1:44 a.m. on June 6. funeral services were held on June 8 in Manhattan's St. Patrick's Cathedral; he was buried that night alongside, his brother Jack in Arlington National Cemetery. In addition to his parents, his brother and 4 sisters, he is survived by his wife Ethel Shakel Kennedy and eleven children. his youngst, Rory Elizabeth Catherine, was born Dec. 12, 1968. While Campaigning for the Presidency, Bobby often quoted from george Bernard Shaw; "Some people see things as they are and ask why; i see things that never were and ask why not?" Thi picture was taken Nov. 17, 1967 when Bobby and other members of the Kennedy family and former Kenedy Aides presented the Kennedy family plane, the Caroline, to the Smithsonian Institute.
