| Rhyolite, Nevada. The small town of Rhyolite had a goldstrike in 1904, and the town boomed to 10,000 inhabitants. A railroad was built to the town and an imposing depot was erected. A financial panic came in 1911 and the inhabitants of the town fled en masse, leaving the depot stark and lonely. |
