  My dad who will be 100 years old on March 9, 2007, worked as a youth, passing rivets for the construction of the "Greater Detroit", in 1923. He slipped on a smooth, wet plank and fell 40 ft, hitting every plank on the way down. Dazed, he sat out work that day, but was back passing rivets the next day.
