This Portrait was reproduced from a photograph, autographed April 21, 1904. The original was a sepiatone. An oil colored reproduction of it was made. Senator Harding was born near Blooming Grove, Morrow County, Ohio, November 2, 1865. He became owner and editor of The Marion Daily Star, November 1884. He was elected to the Ohio State Senate, November 6, 1899.
