Greetings from Williams, Ariz. Large Letter Gateway to Grand Canyon
Additional Details:
| Located on Highway 66 near its junction with the Grand Canyon Highway, Williams is a picturesque mountain town in the heart of the greatest stand of yellow pine timber in the U.S. Summer nights are always delightfully cool at this altitude of 6,780 ft. The town derives its name from Bill Williams Mountain, which is in turn named for a famous pioneer of the region. Lumbering is the chief industry, several large mills being located here. |
