Continuous strife between the Whites and Indians of the Pueblo made its early history a bloody one—terminating with the Taos Rebellion against U. S. rule in 1847. Today it is quaint, picturesque and full of charm, with its many lofty mountains and beautiful fertile valleys. The Taos Art Colony is one of the most famous in America. |
