| In this Presbyterian Manse, located in the City of Staunton, America's great War President, the son of a Presbyterian minister, was born December 28th, 1856. The eighth Virginian to hold the office of President of the United States, he was the first Southerner to be elected to that office since the Civil War. The Woodrow Wilson foundation restored the manse to its original proportions in 1940. |
