| The Thatcher Monument in City Park is claimed to be the finest of Denver's outdoor statues. It is of majestic proportions, the figures in bronze and the pool and base in granite. The central figure represents the Majesty of the State and the three minor groups at the sides represent Love, Loyalty, and Learning, the underlying virtues of the state. The monument was designed by Lorado Taft and presented by Joseph A. Thatcher as a pioneer's offering. |
