Additional Details:
The Banyan Tree (Ficus Benghalensis) is a specie of fig which assumes a remarkable form as a tree because it has aerial roots emanating from its branches, descending and taking roots in the soil to form new trunks. This tree, planted in 1873, covers two thirds of an acre.
