| Built in 1880, the Mono County Courthouse is the second oldest courthouse in California and the oldest one still in use. The original county seat of Mono County was in the mining town of Aurora. When a state survey determined that Aurora was actually located in Nevada, the county seat was moved to Bridgeport and the courthouse was built. |
