This beautiful Memorial stands on W. Confederate Avenue and overlooks the scene of Pickett's charge. It features an equestrian statue of Gen. Robert E. Lee and seven figures representing infantrymen, artillerymen, a cavalry standard bearer, and a bugler, each with unique personality. The Memorial was designed and modeled by sculptor F. W. Sievers, cast in bronze by Tiffany Studios, with granite work by Van Amringe Co. Erected by the state of Virginia at an approximate cost of $50,000.
