| The Grizzly Bear (Ursus horribilis), once inhabited most of Montana, but its range is now restricted to the wild areas. It is one of the bear's one enemy - Man. They differ from the more common Black Bear in their larger size - averaging 6 feet tall and 800 pounds and are more ferocious. All bears, however, are dangerous and should be treated with caution. |
