| Built in 1869 atop an old fort bastion, abandoned 1971 and vandalized. Lovingly restored in 1993. Now operated by nonprofit citizen group as an environmental education center that depends on wind power, rainwater and resourceful overnight visitors to keep the light station functioning. |
